Savannah photographer Bailey Davidson spent his formative years in Milledgeville, Georgia, and has been an artist from a young age.
He attended Georgia Military College Prep School, and in 1995 received a BA in Theatre Performance from Georgia College. Having worked as an actor in New York City and Florida, he returned to his native Georgia in 1999 to study at the Savannah College of Art and Design. There he pursued another long time passion, photography; receiving his MFA in 2002.
Bailey’s portfolio ranges from paintings and mixed media to traditional, commercial, and editorial photography. As the owner of his own freelance photography business, he has maintained a diverse local and national client base since 1997. He is very active in the fine art community, and has numerous solo and group exhibition credits; showing his work as far away as Paris, France.
Davidson’s photographs have been published regionally, nationally and internationally. After publishing his first book, Milledgeville Then and Now, a rephotographic survey of his hometown, in 2009, he released his second self-published book titled Savannah Past and Present in 2011.
He currently lives in Savannah where he continues to work on a wide range of projects and photography assignments both on location and at his home studio.
